Megan Rubenstein scored with 4:09 to play, lifting Harriton to an 8-7 non-league win over host Kennett Friday in girls’ action.
The Rams (3-2) had taken a 6-0 lead, but saw Kennett inch its way back until tying the game, 7-7, with six minutes to play. Chrissy Pasquariello collected three goals and two assists for Harriton while Jess Rothstein had two goals. Goalie Sam Trudgeon had seven saves for the Rams.
Elsewhere in girls’ games
Olivia Mann scored six goals while Kate Henrich had four goals and five assists to pace Germantown Academy (3-0) to an 18-4 rout of host Germantown Friends. Heather Rittenhouse added three goals and three assists for the Patriots while Amanda Jones (four assists) and Mary Haynie added two apiece. Mariah Bastule led Germantown Friends (0-2) with two goals…Strath Haven, ranked fifth by Phillylacrosse.com, edged Villa Maria Academy, 13-11, as Emily Garrity pumped in six goals and added three assists. Courtney DeVinney added three goals for the Panthers (5-1) while Annalise Penikis had two goals and two assists.
