Richard Craft tallied three goals and 11 others scored at least once as host Episcopal Academy routed Unionville, 16-3, Wednesday in an Eastern Pennsylvania Scholastic Lacrosse Association pigtail game

The Churchmen (14-11), ranked 10th by Phillylacrosse.com, move into the first round Friday at sixth-seeded Downingtown East.

Episcopal led, 8-1, at halftime and held the Indians to less than 10 shots. Junior goalie Matt Larman posted four saves.

“We really dominated, it was a total team effort,” said Episcopal coach Andy Hayes. “We’re playing real well defensively and playing even better offensively.”

The Churchmen have won their last five games and allowed only 27 goals in ther last eight games.

“We have a great group of seniors that has worked really hard,” Hayes said. “They worked hard in the off-season and we’ve played a tough schedule. It’s starting to pay off, and the kids are starting to believe they can win.”

Penn Charter 13, Strath Haven 5

Eddie Bambino scored four goals while Ryan Goldman and Joey Sankey scored three apiece and Colin Still added two to help the host Quakers (14-11) coast to the pigtail win over the Panthers (13-8). Penn Charter will play at Inter-Ac League rival Germantown Academy Friday.

Strath Haven, which trailed, 9-1, at halftime, got a pair of goals from Michael Varga.
