Penn has been picked as the fourth-place finisher in the Face-off/Inside Lacrosse men’s Ivy League preseason poll.

The Quakers, who went 6-7 last year and 3-3 in the Ivy League (fourth place), are led by preseason All-Conference attacker Craig Andrzejewski and junior face-off specialist Justin Lynch. A first-team All-Ivy League pick, Andrzejewski led Penn with 23 goals and 40 points last year while Lynch won 59 percent of his face-offs and scooped 101 groundballs.

Inside Lacrosse also noted two sophomores for its Watch List: Corey Winkoff and Al Kohart. Winkoff (attack) and Kohart (midfield) were two of the Ivy League’s best freshmen last season, combining for 58 points. Midfielder Dan Savage (Garden City, N.Y.) was mentioned as coach Brian Voelker’s best option for a breakout freshman in 2009.

Also on the preseason All-Conference team is Cornell senior defender Matt Moyer, a Tower Hill (DE) graduate from Chadds Ford. Moyer was an Honorable Mention All-American pick last year who picked up 35 groundballs last year as the Big Red’s top cover defenseman.
