Owen J. Roberts claimed its fourth straight Pioneer Athletic Conference girls’ lacrosse championship Friday night, defeating Boyertown, 8-6, in a game continued from Thursday due to lightning.

Sophomore midfielder Hannah Delahaye scored the winning and insurance goals and had three overall while senior attack Kelsey Kilgallon also had three — including her 100th career goal on the game’s opening possession Thursday.

After several delays due to lighting Thursday night, the game was stopped with OJR leading 6-5 with 21:18 remaining in the second half.

When play resumed Friday, Boyertown won the draw, and tied it to cap a four-minute possession as Sydney Fox (three goals) converted a feed from Hayden Corcoran with 17:34 remaining.

Delahaye had a chance to put her team ahead minutes later on an 8-meter, but Bears’ keeper Sarah Didget made a great save keep the game tied.

But with 7 minutes to play, Delahaye scored from the right side of the net on a pass from Lilly Kull to give the Wildcats a 7-6 lead.
Delahaye scored again with 2 minutes left.

Sophia Murray and Eloise Gebert each added a goal for OJR.

Amanda Diachynsky, Hannah Mitchell and Kylie Webb each scored once for Boyertown.
