Hershey 2019 LSM Adam Paymer has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Christopher Newport University.

Adam Paymer profile:

Adam Paymer (defending)

Grad year: 2019

College committed to: Christopher Newport University

Club team: Duke’s LC

Lacrosse honors: First Team All Central PA LSM, Sweetlax Invitational All Star, Big 12 All Star

Why did you choose Christopher Newport? “I know it’s cliche, but right as I stepped out of the car after a 5-hour drive, I knew Christopher Newport University was where I wanted to go. The campus is new and beautiful, the buildings are huge, and the openness of the campus is amazing. The people I met on the overnight were amazing, and all of the athletes are in a tight knit family. Every lacrosse player I met shared the same goals of winning a National Championship and working hard while having fun. Coach Mikey Thompson’s visions of what he wants to accomplish with the program and his knowledge are both unbelievable. Every other school I was looking at was too close to home and I wanted a school where I could go to and branch out and Virginia seems like the perfect place to go.”

HS team’s 2018 outlook: “We lost a huge senior class of 17 guys, but we still have the same goals of winning a Mid Pennsylvania Championship, winning Districts, and hopefully making another deep run into the State Playoffs. As long as our underclassmen fill in some of the holes at midfield, we should be able to accomplish our goals.”

Thank Yous: “I want to thank my close friends, family, teammates, and my coaches for teaching me and supporting me through the process. I want to shout out the Duke’s LC family for making the past three years of lacrosse the best and most fun. Thank you for allowing me to show everyone that height is just a number.”

Other schools considered: Elizabethtown, Ursinus, Albright, and Gettysburg
