Phillylacrosse.com honors its All-Delaware Girls’ Team for 2017:

Players of the Year:
Cape Henlopen senior midfielder Evelyn Shoop, a Florida signee who led Cape to the state title and collected 50 goals and 19 assists.
Caravel Academy senior midfielder Olivia Duarte, who had an area-high 119 goals and state the state career record with 429.

Coach of the Year: Cape Henlopen’s Lindsey Eichner, who guided Cape to its ninth straight state title in her first year as the successor to legendary PJ Kesmodel.

Attack
Madilyn McKay, Polytech, Jr – First Team All-State …Signed with Bloomsburg to play field hockey.
Lauren Phillips, Caravel, Sr. – First-Team All-State … Helped lead Buccaneers to state quarterfinals … Playing at Jacksonville.
Brooke Schmeusser, Ursuline Academy, Sr. – US Lacrosse All-American, First Team All-State … Helped lead UA to state semifinals … Had 52 goals, 27 assists 33 draws … Attending College of Charleston.
Cailey Thornburg, Cape Henlopen, Sr. – US Lacrosse All-American, First Team All-State … Helped lead Cape to ninth straight state title … Had 49 goals, 28 assists … Playing at Mercer.

Midfielders
Olivia Duarte, Caravel, Sr. – US Lacrosse All-American, First Team All-State … Had area-high 119 goals and set the state record with 429 … Helped lead Buccaneers to 12-4 season and berth in state quarterfinals … Playing at Colgate.
Alia Marshall, Cape Henlopen, Jr. – First Team All-State … Helped lead Cape to ninth straight state title … Had 22 goals … Signed with Northwestern to play field hockey.
Erin O’Doherty, Ursuline Academy, Sr. – First-Team All-State … Helped lead UA to state semifinals … Had 37 goals.
Kendra Schweizer, St. Mark’s, Jr – US Lacrosse All-American, First Team All-State … Helped lead Spartans to state finals … Signed with Delaware.
Eddy Shoop, Cape Henlopen, Sr. – Delaware State Player of Year and Phillylacrosse Player of Year, US Lacrosse All-American and First-Team All-State … Helped lead Cape to ninth straight state title … Had 40 goals … Playing at Florida.
Sydney Yanick, Archmere Academy, Jr. – First Team All-State … Helped lead Auks to state semifinals … Had 58 goals, 25 assists … Committed to Trinity.
