Lehigh head women’s lacrosse coach Jill Redfern (Ursinus College) announced on Thursday the Mountain Hawks’ incoming class of 2022. The class features nine student-athletes from around the country, featuring two attackers, three midfielders, three defenders and a goalkeeper. Included are student-athletes from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Maryland and Massachusetts.

Here is a rundown of all nine incoming players:

Emma McGillis • D • Berwyn, Pa. • Conestoga High School • Arts and Sciences
Named defensive MVP in each of her final two seasons at Conestoga High School, Emma McGillis was named All-Central League as both a junior (second team) and senior (first team). She also garnered All-Main Line recognition in lacrosse. A two-sport athlete, McGillis served as senior captain for both lacrosse and field hockey. As a senior in field hockey, she was named second team All-Central League and second team All-Main Line, one year after earning honorable mention All-Main Line. McGillis received the Service and Leadership Award in each of her last two years while winning the United States Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award as well. She was also a member of the National Art Honor Society.

Jenna Garden • M • Davidsonville, Md. • Archbishop Spalding • Arts and Sciences
Jenna Garden was a four-year member of both the lacrosse and field hockey teams at Archbishop Spalding High School. A two-year lacrosse captain, while serving as senior captain for field hockey, Garden was named second team All-Country lacrosse in 2017 and 2018. In field hockey, she was named All-Country in 2017 (second team) and 2018 (first team). Garden was also named All-Met honorable mention, All-IAAM (Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland) and second team All-State. Strong in the classroom, Garden was a member of the National Honor Society, was named to the NFHCA High School National Academic Squad and garnered the 2018 Female Athletic Sportsmanship Award at Spalding.

Nora Giordano • M • Montclair, N.J. • Montclair High School • Business
The all-time leader for goals and points at Montclair High School, Nora Giordano was immediately named honorable mention All-Conference American Division as a freshman in 2015. As a sophomore, she was named second team All-League Freedom Central Conference along with first team All-League Stars and Stripes Division. As both a junior and senior, Giordano was named first team All-Conference American Division. In 2018, she was also named Most Valuable Player, third team All-Group 4 and garnered US Lacrosse All-Academic Recognition. Giordano was part of the 2015 Girls Lacrosse Essex County Championship Team, when she was named the program’s Rookie of the Year. In 2017, she garnered the Best Offensive Player Award as well. Also a soccer standout, Giordano was named honorable mention All-Conference American Division in 2015 and 2016 while being named to the first team in 2017. In her time, she helped leader her soccer teams to a Group 4 State Championship in 2014 along with two sectional titles. Giordano was named the team’s Best Defensive Player in each of her final three seasons. In the classroom, Giordano was a member of the National Honor Society.

Kate Goodwin • D • Fox Chapel, Pa. • Fox Chapel High School • Arts and Sciences
Kate Goodwin was a three-time member of the All-Section Team at Fox Chapel (2016, 2017, 2018). An All-American, Goodwin was a two-time All-WPIAL honoree and three-time team Midfielder of the Year. She was the team leader in goals, earning Team MVP and winning the Legacy Award as a senior in 2018. The four-time letterwinner and two-time varsity captain, Goodwin helped lead Fox Chapel to the 2017 WPIAL finals. She was also a three-year letterwinner for soccer, and was named to the WPIAL Players to Watch list three years in a row. In the classroom, Goodwin was a four-year Scholar-Athlete Award winner and a member of the National Honor Society, earning high honors all four years of high school.

Claire Keller • D • Ridge, N.J. • Ridge High School • Arts and Sciences
A four-year letterwinner and three-year starter for Ridge High School, Claire Keller was named a captain as a senior in 2018, when she earned U.S. Lacrosse Academic All-America recognition. Keller was a two-time second team All-Skyland Conference honoree in 2017 and 2018. She played in the Gil Gibbs Senior All-Star Game in 2018 while two years prior, she was a member of the Elite 120 championship team and represented New Jersey in the Brine National Lacrosse Classic. In the classroom, Keller was a member of the National Honor Society, maintaining a spot on the honor roll all four years. She was also a 2017 Project Citizen National Finalist.

Margaret Kelly • M • Hunt Valley, Md. • Dulaney High School • Arts and Sciences
Margaret Kelly capped off her career at Dulaney High School by garnering first team All-State, first team All-Metro and first team All-Country honors. She was also team captain in 2018 as Dulaney finished as state finalists. As a junior, Kelly was named first team All-County. As a sophomore, she garnered first team All-Division as Dulaney also made the state finals. Kelly began her career by becoming the only freshman to make the varsity lacrosse team. A two-sport standout, Kelly also helped lead Dulaney to the state finals for field hockey.

Kerry McHugh • GK • Garden City, N.Y. • Garden City High School • Engineering
Kerry McHugh was a two-year varsity lacrosse player at a very successful program with Garden City High School. As a junior in 2017, McHugh helped lead her team to the Class B New York State Championship, ending the season ranked No. 2 nationally by US Lacrosse. A year later, Garden City was Class B Nassau County finalists, ending the year ranked 25th by US Lacrosse – also finishing as semifinalists at the ILWomen Indoor National Championships. McHugh was also a six-year player for the Long Island Yellow Jackets, which included a third-place finish at the 2015 US Lacrosse National Championship. A two-sport athlete, McHugh played two years of varsity field hockey as well where she helped Garden City to the 2016 Class B Long Island Championship (while also finishing as New York State finalists). The following year, McHugh helped lead her team to another Long Island Championship and regional final. Off the field, McHugh was a two-year member of the National Latin Honor Society and was a two-year member of Student Council.

Lily Salcedo • A • Little Silver, N.J. • Red Bank Catholic High School • Business
Lily Salcedo played four years of varsity lacrosse and two years of varsity soccer at Red Bank Catholic High School, capped off her senior season which saw her earn team MVP honors for lacrosse. Also a senior captain, Salcedo helped lead Red Bank Catholic to the 4 B-North Division Championship. Strong in the classroom, she was nominated for Academic All-America honors, won the President’s Award for Academic Excellence and was a member of the National Honor Society.

Jackie Stoller • A • Wayland, Mass. • Wayland High School • Business
Jackie Stoller put up strong numbers at Wayland High School, which included 44 goals and 98 assists as a junior in 2017. She was named an Eastern Mass Girls Lacrosse Coaches Association second team All-Star in 2016 and first team All-Star in 2017 and 2018. Stoller was a first team All-Star by MetroWest Daily News while also garnering Dual County League first team All-Star recognition. A member of the National Tournament Team (for Massachusetts and Rhode Island), Stoller was named All-Scholastic by the Boston Herald. Stoller also played basketball, serving as a senior captain in 2017-18. In the classroom, she was a member of the National Honor Society, garnering high honors, and won the Academic Achievement Award (Latin, History, Math, Biology).
