Player Safety: Everyone talks about it but are you really choosing the best club that will put the safety of your child first?

Black Bear Lacrosse, which recently became the only club in Pennsylvania to join the LAX Federation, is proud to announce it will become a fully integrated SAFETYTAG® user starting in the fall of 2018.

Player safety and communication with our families is something Black Bear takes very seriously, do you know if your son’s club coaches have had a background check? With Safety Tag you the PARENT will be able to see coaches’ up-to-date background checks, Concussion & Sudden Cardiac PA Certs., US Lacrosse Certs and any other background information.

Parents will be able to go to their son’s profile in Safety Tag and alert coaches if their son has had an injury off the field that inhibits them from participation. At the same time, Black Bear’s dedicated coaches will now be able to send alerts to you of a player injury through the system as well as allow Directors access to up-to-date real time emergency information.

“We have a 3-ring binder for all types of allergies, medical issues, etc. of our players but that’s only what we know and are told,” said Black Bear Owners Bryan Churchey and Grady Wise. “SafetyTag ® will enhance our ability to monitor our players and gives our families peace knowing we are doing all we can to make sure we put them in the safest environment possible with the clearest communication on player injuries possible.”

Black Bear Lacrosse Club is committed to offering families quality coaching and instruction with a goal of developing better lacrosse players to compete at the highest level they desire. Black Bear is one of the few clubs that still offers a traditional seasonal club experience to families while also allowing its members the option to participate in year-round playing opportunities specifically tailored to the needs of the multi-sport athlete.
