Mammoths earned six of the 13 spots on the All-Region First Team, with Wolf ’19, Colin Minicus ’20, Matt Solberg ’20, Jordan Sanford ’18, Dylan Finazzo ’20 and Jimmy McAfee ’20 (Germantown Academy) each claiming the honor. In total, 39 players were selected to the IMLCA Northeast All-Region First, Second and Honorable Mention teams.

Continuing to rake in postseason accolades after a sensational junior season, Wolf was named the IMLCA Northeast Region Offensive Player of the Year after previously earning USILA All-America First Team, All-NEILA First Team, All-NESCAC First Team and NESCAC Player of the Year honors. Scoring a goal in all 16 appearances for Amherst and held to just one non-multi point game, the Wynnewood, Pa. native tallied 53 goals and 31 helpers for 84 total points to rank 13th in the nation in points per game (5.25) and 20th in the country in goals per game (3.31). An all-around player, Wolf boasted a 42.6 shot percentage in addition to picking up 33 ground balls and causing nine turnovers.

Earning All-Region First Team distinction in the middle defense category, short-stick midfielder McAfee rounds out Amherst’s IMLCA selections. Pivotal on both side of the ball, McAfee potted 10 goals and added 17 helpers for 27 points while also registering 67 ground balls (second on Amherst) and causing nine turnovers in 2018.
