The Strath Haven boys’ lacrosse program’s 5th annual Play for the As event (April 1)to battle Alzheimer’s Disease in our area is fast approaching. The Strath Haven program is proud to partner with the Taylor Community Foundation this year; all funds raised will be fully used to support families in our local area who have been affected by this life-changing disease.

The event was created by Strath Haven coach Jew Hewlings, whose other suffered the devastating and debilitating effects of Alzheimer’s for several years (she passed away in 2009). Hewlings’ hope is to somehow ease the burden of family caregivers of those who are diagnosed with this overwhelming disease, and your efforts leading up to and on event day WILL make a difference in the lives of these individuals and families.

This year’s expanded game schedule includes a full day of lacrosse at George King Field (home of the Strath Haven Panthers) in Wallingford, PA:
