From Press Release
STEPS Lacrosse CEO & Founder Charlie Shoulberg is proud to announce that Brooke Fritz has been promoted to the role of Executive Director of STEPS Philadelphia.
“I would like to personally thank Lisa Guyer for her tireless efforts and providing our organization with such a solid foundation,” said Shoulberg. “I couldn’t be happier that Brooke will be taking on an expanded leadership role and will guide the STEPS Philly club and training programs. I am confident with Brooke’s passion and dedication to coaching and mentoring student athletes, we are well positioned to be a premier program in the region.”
STEPS Philly is also pleased to announce the addition of Amy Orcutt to the STEPS family. Orcutt guided Conestoga to the PIAA championship in 2016 and was the Phillylacrosse.com Coach of the Year. Orcutt and Fritz have been coaching rivals for 15 years in the Inter-Ac and now the Central League, but in that time they have become good friends mostly because they share similar values on and off the field.
Coach Orcutt will be heading up the new STEPS DEVO “development” program this spring. DEVO is designed to foster a passion for the great game of lacrosse while introducing players and parents to the club team and tournament environment. It’s a short program for 3rd and 4th graders to get a glimpse of what STEPS Philly is all about. The goal is to have young players fall in love with the game and to aspire to play for one of our STEPS Elite teams.
