Clearview Regional (N.J.) 2018 attackman Brendan Burns has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Stockton University.

Brendan Burns profile:

Brendan Burns

High school: Clearview Regional, NJ

Position: Attack

Grad year: 2018

College committed to: Stockton University

Club team: South Jersey Shamrocks

Lacrosse honors: Junior year 1st team All-Conference Olympic Division

Academic honors: Honor roll

Expected major: Biology

Why did you choose Stockton? “I chose this college because I really like the coach and how he ran things. I also liked how close the campus was to my home; only about 45 minutes away, which means I can still see my family during holidays and it won’t be to far out of my way. I like the lacrosse program and see a great future with them and I’m looking forward to it!”

HS team’s 2018 outlook: “We lost a lot of great talent in the past two years and have to put a lot of work in to replace them and be able to run a offense and defense successfully. With such small classes in the senior and junior classes (a total of about 9 kids), we need the freshmen and sophomores to step up and put the work in to contribute and allow us to have a successful season.”

Thank You: “I would like to thank my parents for helping me make my decision and pushing me to get better all the time. I would also like to thank coach Bill Keane, who without his help this would not be possible. Also, I want to thank my high school coaches for helping me learn discipline and leadership throughout high school because without them I wouldn’t be the young man I am today.”

Other schools considered: Monmouth, Del Val
