The lacrosse community continues to mourn the loss of Lafayette men’s lacrosse freshman goalie McCrae Williams, of Weston, Mass., who died after suffering a head injury, according to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office.

McCrae Williams, 19, died Monday with his parents at his side at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest Monday afternoon after being found outside Ruef Hall on Sunday afternoon, police said.

Lehigh Coroner Scott Grim said in a press release that Williams suffered “blunt force head injuries” in an article published by The Morning Call. Grim said he would not rule on the death until toxicology tests are completed and police have finished their investigation, the article said.

Williams, a goalie, graduated from Noble and Greenough School in Massachusetts.
