Dylan Hoff (Downingtown East, Duke’s LC) has been named as an assistant men’s lacrosse coach at Gettysburg College, head coach Hank Janczyk has announced.

Dylan Hoff

Hoff has spent the past three seasons as the offensive coordinator at Lynchburg College, where he was also a standout lacrosse player from 2009-12. He will serve as the offensive coordinator at Gettysburg while also working as an assistant in Gettysburg’s Office of Athletic Communications.

As a coach at Lynchburg, Hoff helped lead the Hornets to a 48-19 record, three-straight NCAA Division III tournament berths, a pair of Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) titles, and an appearance in the 2015 NCAA Division III championship game. Under head coach and Gettysburg graduate Steve Koudelka ’93, he guided a prolific offense that produced 12 All-ODAC selections and five All-Americans, including Austin Stewart, who set an NCAA record with 109 goals in 2015. Lynchburg averaged over 14 goals per game in 2015, and the Hornets converted 46 percent of their man-up opportunities in 2016.

Prior to his coaching tenure at Lynchburg, Hoff worked as an assistant coach at EC Glass (Va.) High School for two years, also as the offensive coordinator.

As a student-athlete, Hoff made his mark as a standout attackman, piling up 251 points, a school record at the time. The Chester Springs, Pa. native was a two-time All-American, capturing second-team status in 2012 and honorable mention in 201l. Hoff was also a three-time All-ODAC selection, garnering first-team honors in both 2011 and 2012. Hoff also was an Honorable Mention pick in 2008 and a member of the state championship team in 2007 for Downingtown East.

Hoff graduated from Lynchburg with a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education (2012) and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership (2017).
