Temple lacrosse is one of 93 Division I teams to be recognized as an Academic Honor Squad by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). The Owls have now earned Zag/IWLCA Academic Squad distinction for the 10th straight year.
In order to qualify for this prestigious honor, teams must have posted a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the 2015-16 school year. In all, 276 schools across Divisions I, II and III earned the honor.
Individual student-athletes will also be recognized in the coming days with mention on the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll and the IWLCA Merit Squad. As a team, Temple lacrosse combined for a 3.51 GPA this past year to tie for department-high honors along with the women’s soccer team.
