The Pioneers (23-1, No. 2 in the Phillylacrosse.com Rankings) will meet fellow Central League foe Radnor in the title game Saturday at West Chester East High at noon. Radnor beat Garnet Valley, 10-9, in the semis late this afternoon.

Mt. Lebanon, the District 7 champion, closed at 19-3.

Borzillo reached 100 assists in the first half when she dished off six helpers. She has 102 on the year. Liz Scott added three goals and two assists while Paige Loose, Hannah Ashton, and Amelia Kienzle each had a pair of goals. Jules Horning posted eight saves in goal.

Conestoga’s win guaranteed that a team from the Central League will win the PIAA title for the eighth years in the 8-year history of the championship game. Only one – in 2011 when the Ches-Mont League’s Downingtown East fell to Garnet Valley – has a team from another league reached the title game.

Last year Conestoga fell to Garnet Valley, 13-10, in the title game.
