Former Lock Haven standout Leah Peppelman (Bishop Shanahan) has been named an assistant coach on the Albright women’s lacrosse staff announced head coach Jen Willis on Thursday.
Peppelman joins the Lions coaching staff after an outstanding career at NCAA Division II powerhouse Lock Haven, Peppelman, who attended Lock Haven from 2012-16, was part of a program that compiled a 59-18 overall record during her four seasons of competition. The Eagles advanced to the NCAA Tournament in both 2013 and 2014 and played for the national championship in 2014.
Lock Haven was 14-5 during her senior season last year and finished the season ranked 16th in the final Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association poll. Peppelman was selected to participate in the Division II Senior All-Star game following the conclusion of the season.
Peppelman was an outstanding student during her career at Lock Haven and earned her degree in sports administration. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in sport and exercise psychology.
Peppelman, a Dowingtown, Pa., native, graduated from Bishop Shanahan High School.
