LeRoy Moser profile:

LeRoy Moser

LeRoy Moser

High School: Germantown Academy

Graduation Year: 2017

Position: Goalie

College Choice: Roanoke College

Club Affiliation: HEADstrong 2017

Lacrosse Honors: Southern States Elite

What will you major in/study? Business Administration

Why did you choose Roanoke? “I selected Roanoke because the campus felt like home. Also, with Coach (Bill) Pilat who is an expert on the position of goalie. And lastly because of the beautiful campus that the school has.”

2016 HS season highlights/outlook for 2017? “We lost a lot of our leadership with our two top scorers, Jimmy McAfee and Matt Ho. We also lost our leader on defense, Nick D’Ambrosio. However, most of our team next year is comprised of seniors, and I have no doubt that Andrew Towne, Zander Foglia and Tommy Diver will rise to the occasion.

“On attack Brad Palmer, James Thatcher, and Justin Connors will contribute most of our goals next year. Also returning is our leader on the face-off draw, Tony Rosato, who is vital to our team’s success. On the defensive front Tanner Long will be the cornerstone of our defense.

“Overall, losing our three top players created more opportunities for others to step up, and I have no doubt that we will make more noise in the Inter-Ac, and be a top team in league play.”

Thank You: “I would like to thank my family first and foremost. My mom for supporting me all the way, and my sister Rebecca for introducing the game to me.

“I would also like to thank my dad because he attended every game, practice and tournament, from when I was very little, and until now, and none of this is possible without him.

“I would like to thank my coaches at GA, Coach O’Brien, Coach Isdaner, Coach Martin and Coach Cooper. Also, I would like to thank Coach Grady who guided me through the process, and who stepped down for next year. I also want to thank everyone at the HEADstrong Foundation. Coach Wolensky, Coach Matt Ward and Coach Joey Ward.”

Other schools considered: York, Mary Washington, Ohio Wesleyan, Dickinson, Lynchburg
