Lampeter-Strasburg (PA) 2019 midfielder Kelsey Kimmel has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Penn State University.

Lacrosse Honors: Selected to the 2016 Central PA US Lacrosse National Tournament Team, 2016 LNP Girls’ Lacrosse Player of the Year, Lancaster-Lebanon League 1st Team All-Star 2016, Named a “Fab 40 All-Star” at the Girls Philly Showcase, selected to 2015 Team PA for Brine National Lacrosse Classic, Varsity Starter for Lampeter-Strasburg High School as a freshman-Team MVP, Freshman Statistics: 93 points (L-L League Leader, regular season) with 66 goals, 27 assists, and 130 draw controls.

Academic Honors: Distinguished Honor Roll both semesters

Why I chose this school: “I chose Penn State because they have everything I’m looking for in a school! Penn State has a strong business program, a beautiful campus, a great lacrosse program, and the coaching staff is incredible! I love the athletic atmosphere, and can’t wait to be a part of the tradition. We Are…”

Outlook for 2017 school season: “Last season our team qualified for Districts for the first time in program history. We lost a lot of key seniors, but we still have lots of talent. We are hoping to progress further into district play.”
