The honors keep rolling in for Villanova men’s lacrosse junior Jake Froccaro (Sands Point, N.Y.) who has been named both the USILA/Lids Team Sports Division I Offensive Player of the Week and Epoch/Lacrosse Magazine Player of the Week.

Froccaro earned the weekly distinctions for his record-breaking performance against then-No. 16 Penn State where he tallied eight goals and two assists for 10 points. His eight goals broke a 17-year old Villanova record that was last earned by Chris Larson’s seven goal effort against Lafayette in 1999.

Froccaro now holds school records at both Princeton and Villanova; in 2014 he registered 10 goals against Yale during his stint with the Tigers.

Froccaro transferred from Princeton during the offseason and is now joined by his younger brother Joey on the team. Additionally, their older sister Jackie is a graduate student on the Villanova women’s lacrosse team and was the 2015 BIG EAST Attacker of the Year.
