Former @Fords_Lacrosse, Maryland All-American Murray picked in 5th round of MLL draft by Charlotte

Defenseman Goran Murray, a former Haverford School standout and three-time University of Maryland All-American, has been selected in the fifth round (37th pick) of the Major League Lacrosse draft by the Charlotte Hounds.

Murray was an Under Armour and ESPN All-American and key member of the Haverford School team that went undefeated in 2011 while winning the Inter-Ac League and Inter-Ac Invitational championships and being named the No. 1 team in every national rankings.

Murray was a First-Team USILA honors in 2014, but he sat out the 2015 year due to academic problems. Murray is currently not on a college roster for 2016.

In his freshman year at Maryland, Murray was 2012 USILA Honorable Mention All-American and the ACC Freshman of the Year. In 2013 he was a USILA Third Team A;;-American and in 2014 he also was picked for the All-ACC tourney team and the First-Team All-ACC squad.
