Final LaxPower National Coaches/Computer Ratings for high school girls: @stogagirlslax is No. 13

LaxPower is pleased to announce the National Coaches/Computer Ratings for high school girls’ lacrosse for the recently completed 2016 spring season.

McDonogh School (MD) is LaxPower’s national champion for 2016. The Eagles have repeated as champions for the 7th consecutive time with a 22-0 season. Chris Robinson’s team finished in first place in the coaches’ poll and the computer ratings. This is the 12th season in a row they have finished in the Top 10. McDonogh has now run its unbeaten streak to 155 consecutive games.

The top five programs in the country for 2016:

#1: McDonogh School, Owings Mills, MD (22-0) — IAAM-A champion (8th consecutive)

#2: Christian Brothers, Syracuse, NY (21-0) – New York Class A champion
#3: Garden City, Garden City, NY (21-1) — New York Class B champion
#4: St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes, Alexandria, VA (25-1) — Virginia VISAA I champion
#5: Good Counsel, Wheaton, MD (18-3) — handed SSSA its only loss; fell in VISAA semifinals

The final rankings were compiled using LaxPower’s CCR rating formula, which combines the national computer ratings with a national poll. The computer ratings used for the rankings are based on 24,389 game scores for 3,216 high school teams. The poll is a product of rankings by 25 high school coaches from around the country. Each of these parameters represents 50% of the final tallied results.

Results for the Top 25 on each of the components and overall are presented below.
