The United Women’s Lacrosse League (UWLX) is launching the first ever Women’s Professional Lacrosse League in the US. The UWLX will be participating in the Katie Samson Lacrosse Festival (KSF) on April 23rd at Radnor High School.
One of the four teams is the Philadelphia Force, to be coached by Missy Doherty, current head coach at Penn State. Several Philly standouts and elite women’s players in the USA and the world have been drafted by the Force. Force draft choices included No. 1 pick Michelle Tumolo (Clearview Regional, NH/Syracuse),
Becky Lynch (current St. Joe’s assistant coach, UNC), Bridget Bianco (Moorestown/Northwestern grad, goalie) and Emily Garrity (Strath Haven, UNC, midfielder, 2009 Phillylacrosse.com Player of the Year).
Please come visit them in the Fan Zone located on the driveway of Radnor High where it meets Radnor Chester Rd. They are strategically positioned right in-between the fields were most of the girls’ games will take place. The UWLX will be selling ticket pages, educating lacrosse fans about the inaugural season launching May 28th, and having player appearances throughout the day.
