Bishop Shanahan girls top CB West, make history with first state berth; @GarnetGLax rolls

Bishop Shanahan claimed its 16th straight win and routed Central Bucks West, 15-6, Saturday at West Chester East to earn a spot in the District 1 Final Four and its first state berth.

The 10th-seeded Eagles (17-4) will play No. 6 Owen J. Roberts, a 12-9 winner over No. 19 Merion Mercy, Tuesday, 7:15 p.m., at Downingtown West.

Kaela Smith had five goals and Alyssa Manley added four while Kenzie Staska tallied three as the Eagles led 7-2 at halftime and were never threatened.

Garnet Valley 17, Unionville 7

Kara Nakrasius scored five goals and Madi O’Brien and Emily Mathewson each had four goals and four assists as the fourth-seeded Jaguars routed Unionville.

Garnet Valley will meet ninth-seeded Radnor in the semifinal round Tuesday night at Downingtown West at 5:45 p.m.
