After leading the Owls in pivotal back-to-back wins last week, senior Brenda McDermott (North Penn) has been named the BIG EAST Lacrosse Attacker of the Week. The honor is the first for McDermott, who was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll earlier this season.
McDermott posted a league-high 11 points off six goals and five assists in victories over Villanova and Cincinnati. She scored a hat trick in each outing while adding a pair of assists against the Wildcats and a trio of dishes against the Bearcats. The hat tricks were the third and fourth of the season for McDermott. The Owls close out the regular season on Saturday, April 30, hosting Georgetown at 1 p.m. With a win, Temple will advance to next week’s BIG EAST Championships.
