From Press Release
Bandits Lacrosse is hosting two lacrosse equipment drives in January to support Operation Baggataway, a charity that provides new and used equipment for armed service members serving around the world.
Armed service members cannot travel with sports equipment, so they are limited in what they can do in their downtime. Operation Baggataway creates “lacrosse libraries” at bases across the globe, allowing our military men and women to not only play the game, but to spread the game as well.
“We are proud to be able to help give back in a small way to our service men and women,” Bandits Lacrosse Program Director, Peter Burns, said. “Lacrosse means so much to so many. We are happy to help provide a little taste of home to our military personnel serving abroad.”
If you have new or used lacrosse sticks, gloves, shoulder/arm pads or cleats that you aren’t using, stop by one of the two collection days and look for the Bandits Lacrosse tent to donate.
The first equipment drive takes place on Monday, January 16th at Memorial Field in Abington, PA from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
The second equipment drive takes place on Wednesday, January 25th at Eastern University in Wayne, PA from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
Warrior/Brine, who partners with Bandits Lacrosse, is helping the effort by donating several items to the cause during the January equipment drives.
