The Arcadia University men’s lacrosse team has been busy in the community during the month of November supporting both the Movember Foundation and Philabundance.
The Knights have been growing mustaches all month long in support for the Movember Foundation’s mission to raise awareness for men’s health issues. Over $2,000 has been raised for the campaign which goes through the end of November. In conjunction with this initiative, the team welcomed guest speaker Adam Silva to share his experiences in a presentation called “Be a Man”.
In Arcadia’s second community service initiative of the month, members of the team worked a shift at Philabundance. During the shift the student-athletes sorted food and packed senior boxes which provide hunger relief for senior citizens in need during the winter months.
“I am really proud of our guys this November. Each November we focus on our community service efforts, but this year was extra special as our guys really ran with both projects,” said Arcadia head coach Nick Taylor. “Supporting both the Movmember Foundation and Philabundance have been a big part of who we are as a program, and I look forward to future successful community service with these groups.”
