Women’s recruits: CB East’s Stella among signees for Robert Morris

The Robert Morris University women’s lacrosse team has announced its 2015 recruiting class includes Central Bucks East midfielder Maggie Stella (PA Pride).

“We’re excited about the talent and athleticism in this new class,” said head coach Katy Phillips of the group, made up of five midfielders, two defenders, an attacker and a goalie. “We believe they will contribute to the culture that we’ve built here and continue to grow it in the future.”

The class is as follows, listed alphabetically according to last name. Position, hometown, high school and club team are included, in that order.

As for this year’s Colonials, they start their 16-game regular season Feb. 18 against crosstown rival Duquesne at Joe Walton Stadium. After going 11-6 and advancing to the Northeast Conference (NEC) semifinals in 2014, RMU heads into its 11th season of Division I lacrosse with postseason aspirations once again.
