From Press Release

Twenty teams and close to 160 girls in Grades 5 through 9 participated in the 2nd Annual Stoga 5v5 LaxFest, hosted by the Conestoga Girls’ Lacrosse Team and the Lady Pioneer Booster Club.Stoga Lax Fest

The LaxFest took place at Conestoga’s Teamer Field on October 4th. The teams enjoyed a novel format that was participatory and fast-paced, and which required the girls to play offense, defense and in transition, often in quick succession.

The 5v5 LaxFest raised funds for the Conestoga Girls’ Lacrosse Team while also generating over $4,500 in sponsorship proceeds for the Fighting Back Scholarship Program and its Peter Kienzle Fund. Those proceeds will help individuals who are recovering from a life-changing illness or injury and are without the financial resources they need to participate in a rehabilitative exercise program. The Lady Pioneers are proud to honor Pete Kienzle and to support the FBSP mission in his memory.

Event sponsors included: Pediatric Associates of Paoli, Quantico Asset Management, Pure Energy Fitness Studio, MaGurks Pub & Grill, Longstreth Sporting Goods, C4 Performance Training and Aspire Sports Medicine.
