Registration remains open for the inaugural I-95 Cup, which will feature Philly’s top face-off specialist in a team tourney vs. elite teams from Maryland/Virginia, New York and New Jersey. Tryouts will be held on Thursday, July 30th, from 5-7 PM at the Main Line Sports Center in Berwyn.
So who has the best? New York? Maryland? Philly?
The I-95 Cup is not your ordinary face-off tournament. It’s the ultimate challenge to see which AREA of the country has the most talented face-off midfielders. The top 10 players from Philly, New York, New Jersey, and Maryland/Virginia will meet in Philadelphia next month for a one-day tournament in an intense, never before seen style tournament.
Who is choosing these teams?
The Philadelphia team will be chosen by Philly Face-Off League co-founders John Bodnar and Mike Dolente. Both highly respected face-off coaches in the area, the Philly Face-Off League is where the most elite face-off midfielders in the Greater Philly area can practice and train together on a weekly basis. They will also be teaming up with Mike and Mark Gurenlian of the Philly Face-off Academy to determine the top 10 players from the Philly area.
How are these teams getting chosen?
Tryouts will be on Thursday, July 30th, from 5-7 PM at the Main Line Sports Center in Berwyn, PA. All high school players are welcome to try out and see where they stand against some of the best players in the country.
