Maddie Gebert scored in overtime off a free position to cap a furious rally that lifted unbeaten Owen J. Roberts to an 11-10 PAC-10 triumph Thursday over host Perkiomen Valley.
Gebert’s strike completed her hat trick and culminated a rally that saw the Wildcats (9-0, 13-0) overcome a 10-5 deficit with five unanswered goals in the last 8:00 of regulation. Morgan Stone also finished with three goals for OJR.
For the Vikings (4-6, 6-7), Christie Balestra had five goals, Emma Britton totaled three goals and one assist and goalie Harley Barrett recorded 15 saves.
Radnor 14, Springfield-Delco 4
Hannah Proctor had three goals and three assists and Katie Quinn had three goals and one assist while Hope Smith added three as the Raiders (10-1, 7-1) knocked the Cougars out of a first-place tie in the Central League.
Conestoga, a 21-7 winner over Ridley, moves into sole possession of first place at 7-0. Radnor is 7-1 in the leaue and 10-1 overall.
Katy Junior had seven groundballs and six caused turnovers for the Raiders.
Villa Maria Academy 8, Gwynedd-Mercy Academy 7
Annina Iacobucci had three goals and three assists and Audrey Fantazzia had two goals and four groundballs to lead VMA to the Catholic Academies win.
Kelly Pizzirani had three goals and an assist for Gwynedd Mercy.
Hatboro-Horsham 10, Plymouth-Whitemarsh 6
Sydney Rausa had four goals and two assists to lead the Hatters to the Suburban One win.
Ali Diamond and Sopie Kolkka each had two goals for PW.
Interboro 16, Academy Park 3
Sami Barnett scored eight goals and broke the school’s scoring record of 274 goals during the Bucs’ win.
Barnett now has 277 goals and broke the mark previously held by Steph Parcell, class of 2009, and a former Temple great.
Farae Manson had 24 saves for Academy Park.
Merion Mercy Academy 13, Mt. St. Joseph Academy 12
Caroline Corzel had six goals and four assists and Caroline Steller added four goals and two assists to pace the Bears to the key Catholic Academies win.
Christie Mischler and Kait Meister each had three goals and an assist for the Mount.
Harriton 19, Haverford 7
Jane Henderson fired in eight goals and added three groundballs, two draw controls and an assist for the Rams.
Jess Mellon had two goals for the Fords.
Agnes Irwin 15, Penn Charter 6
Junior Hannah Keating scored six times to lead the Owls (12-1, 5-1). Classmate Kristin Burnetta added six points on two goals and four assists as AIS cruised to a 15-6 victory.
Freshman defender Maria Pansini paced the AI defense and the Owls caused 14 turnovers.
Greer Guyer led PC with two goals.
