Registration open for Lower Bucks Lacrosse’s inaugural Bobblehead Classic boys’ youth tourney on May 16

Lower Bucks Lacrosse will host the first annual Bobblehead Classic on Saturday May 16th at Maple Point Middle School in Langhorne, PA.

The event is for boys in grades 1 through 4 and registration is now open.Bobble head

Teams participating in the Bantam Division for grades 1 and 2 will play from 9 AM – 2 PM and the Lightning Division for grades 3 and 4 from 3 PM – 8 PM.

Teams are guaranteed five games, including playoffs, in a championship format.

Details:

Bantam Division

9:00 AM – 2:00 PM for boys in grades 1 & 2
6 v. 6 on a 60 yd. x 35 yd. field with 4 x 4 goals
6 players shall constitute a team (1 goalie, 5 field players)
there is no offsides, all players play offense and defense
max of 15 players per team roster

Lightning Division

3:00 PM – 8:00 PM for boys in grades 3 & 4
8 v. 8 on a 60 yd. x 35 yd. field with 4 x 4 goals
8 players shall constitute a team (1 goalie, 2 defense, 3 midfield, 2 attack)
3 players must stay on the defensive half at all times
2 players must stay on the offensive half at all times
offsides is enforced
max of 15 players per team roster

Equipment

all players will use a short-stick, no long poles
full equipment is required for all players: helmet, gloves, arm pads, shoulder pads, protective cup, mouth guard
goalies must have throat guard, chest protector, protective cup and elbow pads
coaches should ensure proper equipment

The Field

field dimensions are 60 yards x 35 yards
creases are the standard 9 foot radius
goals are standard 4 x 4 box goals

The Ball

standard NOCSE approved ball
