The 23rd Annual Philadelphia Lacrosse Association Golf Outing took place on Columbus Day, October 12th, at Manufacturers’ Golf and Country Club in Fort Washington. One hundred golfers and 62 corporate and individual sponsors enjoyed early fall foliage on a gorgeous “Indian Summer” day and helped the PLA raised over $20,000 to further the PLA’s mission.

The PLA, the local chapter of US Lacrosse, will use the proceeds to help support US Lacrosse and other programs and initiatives in the PLA’s chapter area. Golf outing and other funds will be made available in grants to help the Philadelphia School District’s middle grades program, the PIAA sanctioned high school teams in the City and other diversity and inclusion efforts, including the HEADstring Project (www.headstringproject.com).US Lacrosse

They will also help the PLA underwrite high school and youth coaches’ clinics, sponsor area charitable tournaments, provide new start grants, and stage the High School Awards and Recognition Banquet at the Radnor Hotel in June 2016.
