Kate Henwood, NXT’s new Director of Girls Lacrosse, and her NXT Lacrosse Girls staff will host a NXT Exposure Night at Garnet Valley High School’s Moe DeFrank Stadium on Tuesday, July 28 from 6-8 p.m. The Exposure Night is a free clinic designed to give families a glimpse into what NXT LC Girls (Grades 4 to 8) is all about.
Players will be broken up into skill groups and put through an exciting and empowering 90-minute practice with some of the best coaches in the game. After the clinic, Coach Henwood will offer her vision for the newly-founded club and field questions from players and parents. NXT LC Girls is holding tryouts on August 29-30 at the Conshohocken Proving Grounds for girls in graduation years 2020-2023 for its year-round teams. The teams will practice every Sunday for nine weeks and attend two or three fall tournaments. NXT LC Girls will also host skills sessions every Wednesday night open to any girl in grades 3-12.
“I’m excited to come back at Garnet Valley and even more excited to have the chance to teach the game to so many girls,” Henwood said. “The NXT Exposure Night is a great opportunity to find out more about our new club, which we think will be able to match the success that NXT has had with its boys clubs. Anyone is welcome to come out and see what we have to offer.”
