Washington Township (N.Y.) 2015 midfielder Jordan Dzierzgowski has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Gwynedd Mercy University.
Jordan Dzierzgowski log:
High School: Washington Township High School, N.J.
Graduation Year: 2015
College Choice: Gwynedd Mercy University (ConnectLAX college profile)
Club Affiliation: Braveheart
Major lacrosse honors, camps and showcases: MVP Tournament at Towson, Brandywine Tournament
What will you major in/study? Nursing
Why did you choose school? “I was looking for colleges that had both nursing and lacrosse, so I visited Gwynedd Mercy. Once I met Coach (Dana) Lindstrom, my interest grew. He really seemed like a coach I would want to play for with a well organized lacrosse program who also stressed academic achievement for a future career. I had an overnight visit which confirmed my decision because I felt comfortable on the campus and liked everyone I met as well as the class I attended.”
Outlook for your High School team? “I think we are a young team with a lot of potential that may surprise many people.”
Thank You: “I would like to thank Coach Fowler at WTHS and Coach McDonough from Braveheart for allowing me the opportunity to play with them in the summer. I would also like to thank Marc Bushong for recommending me after my three clavicle fractures which prevented me from playing my junior high school season and my summer season. Lastly, I want to thank Coach Lindstrom for coming to see me play in a fall tournament, even after my injuries, and giving me the opportunity to compete at the next level.”
Other schools considered: Misericordia University
