What will you major in/study? Engineering/Economics

Why did you choose school? “I chose Union for its stellar reputation within the fields I am interested in, the extremely connected alumni association, the outstanding campus, and the chance to compete at a high level of lacrosse. Coach (Paul) Wehrum and (Derek) Witheford made me feel a part of their family as soon as I stepped foot on campus, and I believe I will be able to prosper as a student and an athlete with their guidance.”

Outlook for your High School team? “Although we graduated a few seniors, I believe this will be one of the strongest years for GA lacrosse. Last year we ended with an 11-9 record and I can only see that getting better. We have a good number of players returning, making us even stronger than last year. With Ian Davies and Anthony Bozzelli, there shouldn’t be a lack of leadership around the goal. In the mid-field we’re bringing back Grant Lasorda and Jimmy McAfee, who both play extremely important roles in our offense and defense. At the attack spot, we are returning Garret Trucksess, who will lead our attack and hopefully put up a good amount of points. I’m just excited for the season to start.”

Thank You:“I’d like to thank my club coaches, Coach Brian Vetter and Steve Henze. Without their devotion and faith I would not have the opportunity I do today.

“A big thanks goes to my GA coaches, Coach Brian Grady and Coach Greg Isdaner, both of which guided me through my school season and taught me how to work hard on the field as well as in the classroom.

“I’d like to thank Coach Michael Sharman, who taught me everything I know about lacrosse and has been reinforcing the fundamentals in my game since the first grade.

“Finally, I owe a huge shoutout to my good friends and family, who have pushed me in everything I do and, more importantly, supported me in all of my endeavors. Love you guys!”
