High School: Downingtown West High School

Graduation Year: 2015

Position: Defense/LSM

College Choice: Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute

Club Affiliations: Old School Lacrosse Club, PYLA, Rebel Elite

Lacrosse Honors: Under Armour Underclass Philadelphia Top 88, D3 Showcase Featured Five, 2-Year Varsity Starter, 3-Year Varsity Player, Villanova 150 Champs, Blue Chip 225 Champs

What will you major in/study? Engineering

Why did you choose RPI? “I chose Rensselaer because it not only presents an incredible academic opportunity, but an equally great lacrosse opportunity. RPI will allow me to study at one of the most prestigious engineering schools in the country and also allow me to play in the highly competitive Liberty League for Coach Townsend’s strong team.”

Outlook for 2015 HS season? “Last year we had a rebuilding year and only a few seniors playing. We were a young team playing a tough schedule. This year, we return many of our starters, and replace our seniors with a very talented group of guys. Under Coach Slate’s guidance and continuing to work hard as a team, Downingtown West hopes to reestablish itself in the ranks of the Ches-Mont League, District 1, and State tournament. With the pieces in place, it should shape up to be a great year!”

Thank You: “I have a lot of people to thank for their help and support for me in my college decision.

“First and most importantly, thank you so much to my parents and my sisters, both for taking me to and cheering me on at my tournaments and games, and for supporting me each and every step of the way.

“Secondly, I’d like to thank my high school coaches, Coach Slate, Coach Harner, and Coach Cullinan. Their extensive lacrosse knowledge and coaching has been incredibly influential in my own growth as a player. Their coaching has prepared me immensely for the next level more than I could have hoped for.

“Finally, I’d like to thank all of my club coaches over the years, including Harry Sankey and Ryan Sankey from Rebel Elite, Coach Harner and Coach Cullinan from PYLA, and Coach DiIonno, Coach Fischer and Coach Horoski from Old School Lacrosse. Their coaching and guidance through the recruiting process has been invaluable, and I can’t thank them enough!”
