Delaware Valley High (N.J.) 2016 attackman Joe Donnelly (Twist Lacrosse) has made a commitment to play Division III lacrosse at Ursinus College.
Joe Donnelly ledger:
High School: Delaware Valley Regional High School, N.J.
Graduation Year: 2016
College Choice: Ursinus College
Club Affiliation: Twist Black
Major lacrosse honors, camps and showcases: 2015 All Skylands Conference and Bianchi Division, 2015 Hunterdon Democrat Player of the Year, 2014 & 2015 Hunterdon County NJ Points leader, 2015 Hot Beds All Star
What will you major in/study? Secondary Education
Why did you choose school? “I chose Ursinus because I think it was the best fit for my academically and athletically. The lacrosse program finished in the top 15 last year and Coach (Jamie) Steele and his staff are building a solid program. I would like to be a part of the continued success of the program and feel I can contribute.”
Outlook for your 2016 HS season? “We are a young HS program but last season we made it to the second round of the NJ Group 1 South playoff bracket with a school record number of wins. We have a strong group of dedicated players and we are striving to surpass last season’s accomplishments.”
Thank You: “I would like to thank Coach Flego and Coach Devlin and the whole Twist organization for putting the team in great tournaments for recruiting. Coach Devlin is also my HS coach and he has pushed me to be a more consistent player and improve my lacrosse IQ.
“I would also like to thank my parents for supporting me through the years and the time they invested in getting me to this point.”
Other schools considered: Washington College, Salisbury, Chestnut Hill, Mt St Mary’s, Robert Morris
