What will you major in/study? Psychology

Why did you choose JWU? “When I visited JWU, I felt at home from the start. In making the decision, I also wanted a school that would impact me just as much off the field as on. When I met with Coach (Nick) Coppola, it made me want to choose JWU that much more with the kindness he showed me and my parents. Also, the fact that JWU has a fairly new lacrosse program made it that much more appealing because it gives me the opportunity to be apart of something that’s on the rise.”

Outlook for 2015 HS season? “When a team loses a very talented senior class, among whom are two All-Americans, skeptics say they won’t be who they were, but not Shanahan. We plan to not lose a step on our way back to states. We are prepared for players to step up and be major contributors and I could not be more excited.”

Thank You: “First, I’d like to thank my parents for all the love and support I have received in my 13 years of playing lacrosse. My brothers, Jacob and Trae, for always being good role models and pushing me to be the best I could be.

“Also, I’d like to thank my youth coaches, Coach Bob Miller and Coach Kevin Goforth for teaching me the fundamentals and introducing the game to me. My high school coaches, Jon Heisman, Paul Meyers, and Eric Carruthers for furthering my love of lacrosse and never giving up on me.”

Other schools considered: Drew, Goucher, Tampa
