From Press Release
The Drexel men’s lacrosse team released its schedule for the 2016 season. The Dragons will begin the season on Feb. 20 against the University of Virginia at Vidas Field in Philadelphia. The Cavailiers will be one of five teams on Drexel’s schedule that advanced to the NCAA Tournament in 2015.
After the Virginia game the Dragons play three straight games away from home. They will play at Albany, at Villanova and at Saint Joseph’s before returning home to host Maryland. The Terrapins advanced to the NCAA title game a year ago. Drexel will also face Bryant, the Northeast Conference champion and Binghamton away from home. The Dragons host St. John’s and Mercer in non-league games.
The Colonial Athletic Association schedule begins with a pair of road contests. Drexel will face Towson in Maryland on April 2. One week later, the Dragons visit Fairfield. They then return home to play Hofstra in one of just two CAA home games this season. Drexel faces long-time rival Delaware on April 23 and closes the regular season with a home affair against UMass on April 29.
