The tourney was held last Saturday at Shipley School and featured six master’s teams from Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey. The morning schedule featured two divisions playing round robins to determine their playoff seeding for the afternoon.

The finals came down to a hard fought rematch between Team 135 and Kelly’s. Both defenses played great and kept the scoring low through most of the game. While both teams dominated face-offs on the road to the championship, there were several knock down drag out battles in the championship game between FO specialists Bill Rentiers and Kelly’s Jay Motta.

Kelly’s Taproom and Northmen (N.Y.) were the top seeds based on the morning, but Team 135 faught its way into the championship game with a thrilling double overtime win over the Northmen. Team 135’s offense was lead by Tom Vitale and after surving being two men down to start overtime, Team 135’s Peter Politi scored the game-winning goal with a diving effort.
