From Press Release

The 7th Annual Nike Checking for Cancer Lacrosse Invitational will be held Saturday. This is a charity tournament benefiting programs targeted to community support, research, education and awareness of prostate, colorectal and testicular cancers.

Several events have already successfully begun the fundraising activities, leading up to a fun filled day of lacrosse with many of the premier teams in the country. In March, supporters participated in classes at Barre3 in Rosemont and Flywheel in Bryn Mawr, with entrance fees being donated to CFC.

The Haverford School, The Agnes Irwin School, and The Shipley School will be the host schools for lacrosse games this year.

We are very pleased to have The Agnes Irwin School and The Shipley School embrace the focus of awareness and early detection of men’s cancers with us and appreciate their support of the event.

“The Haverford School has a strong commitment to service and leadership, and the lacrosse team shows these attributes every year during the planning and execution of Checking for Cancer. By educating the community, we improve the chance of catching these diseases early.”
