Ben Minardi connected in overtime to lift Perkiomen Valley to a 9-8 PAC-10 boys lacrosse victory over Methacton Wednesday.

Shawn Coulter posted a hat trick with one assist while Matt Baker added two goals and one assist for the Vikings, who got a strong performance from Nick Marren (7 groundballs, 5 forced turnovers of team’s 12).

For the Warriors, Connor Stevenson and Michael DelVecchio combined for five goals and two assists with Aidan Denecke delivering 5 assists. Jake Blitzer was strong in goal with 16 saves.Fusion-Lacrosse-e1426032047676

Academy New Church 13, Perkiomen School 2

Dave Closterman had three goals and an assist to lead ANC.

Marple Newtown 12, Upper Merion 0

Tom Higgins had five goals and an assist and TJ Reiley added three goals and two assists while Christian Xitas contributed two goals and four assists. Nick Gianguilio won 12 of 14 face-offs.

The defense was led by Steve Viola, Noah Turner, Vince Ciavardelli, Eric McKelvey and Ryan Schneider.

Haverford HS 13, Council Rock North 3

Bob McClure scored once and dished off six assists and Danny Tierney made 10 saves to pace the Fords.

Interboro 10, Archbishop Carroll 2

Dave Kilgore scored five goals to pace the Bucs.

Calvert Hall 12, Conestoga 7

Tommy Sopko had three goals and an assist and Steve Friedman scored two goals for the Pioneers in the loss to the nationally ranked Cardinals.

Spring-Ford 17, Phoenixville 1

Josh Gliva scored five goals to lead the Rams.

St Joseph’s Prep 15, Archbishop Ryan 9

Griffin Fleming had four goals and an assist to lead the Hawks to the Catholic League win.

Shane Taylor had six goals and two assists for Ryan.

Loyola Blakefield (MD) 13, Malvern Prep 10

Adam Goldner had four goals and an assist while Charles Kelly won 19 of 26 face-offs for the Friars.

Archbishop Wood 18, Roman Catholic 4

Brian Kent scored two goals and dished an amazing eight assists while adding two groundballs while Cole Miller had three goals and an assist to pace the Vikings to the Catholic League win.

Owen J. Roberts 19, Pottsgrove 3

Austin DeGatto had five goals and two assists and hit the 100-goal mark (103) for his career to lead OJR.
