Matt Moore and Denny Nealon each had two goals and two assists Tuesday night as visiting Garnet Valley defeated Radnor, 11-7, in a Central League boys’ lacrosse opener.

Tyler Moschella added two goals and Daniel Lanham won 12 of 22 face-offs in a key battle with Radnor’s Tom Meyers. Jack Wilson led the Raiders with three goals and Clayton Proctor added a pair.

Michael Bonnadio posted 12 saves for the Jags while Alex Andersen had 14 saves for Radnor.

“We were dominating in the first half,” said Garnet Valley coach Frank Urso. “I expected to come out strong, we’re pretty good offensively. But the defense also played well.”

Strath Haven 7, Springfield-Delco 6

Jake Ross (two goals, one assist) tallied the game-winner with :28 to go on a feed from Jack Borbee.

Dan Wasson led the Cougars with three goals an assist and Zac Dworkin won 11 of 17 face-offs while James Spence made 14 saves.

Central Bucks East 15, Pennridge 4

Matt Vetter had five goals and five assists and Ryan Brown added three goals and an assist for the Patriots.

Bishop Shanahan 5, Downngtown East 1

Alex Wagner had three goals and an assist, Jason Yoquinto made 10 saves and Ryan McNulty scored once and paced the defense for Shanahan.

Episcopal Academy 16, St. Joseph’s Prep 2

Eric Haab scored six goals and Curtis Zappala had four goals and five assists while Connor Ringwalt collected four goals and an assist to lead the Churchmen to the impressive win.

Christian Feliziani won 15 of 20 at the face-off X.

Germantown Academy 11, Holy Ghost Prep 4

Garrett Trucksess had four goals and two assists and Rob Barnett added four goals for GA.

Aiden Yake had two goals for the Firebirds.

Penn Charter 9, Hill School 4

Gavin Tygh had two goals and won 11 of 16 face-offs for the Quakers while Luke Stansfield had two goals and an assist.

Wilson West Lawn 6, Avon Grove 5

Stephen Cyron led the Devils with three goals and an assist and Liam Brodie made nine saves in a loss to the team they defeated in last year’s state quarterfinals.

Central Bucks South 17, North Penn 2

Brendan McGrath had six goals and three assists and Chris Tanner contributed five goals and two assists for the Titans.

George Washington 9, Northeast 2

Adrian Toro had four goals and an assist and Connor McMonagle had three goals and three assists and was 9 for 9 on face-offs for GW.

Conestoga 14, Lower Merion 6

Steven Hildebrand had three goals and two assists while Chris Brady, Sam Friedman, Jace Kienzle and Matt Schleicher each had two goals to lead the Pioneers.

Penncrest 20, Harriton 12

Drew Hanna had three goals and six assists while Ryan Kinnard and Alex Bonnett each had four goals and an assist and Colin Speer scored four times for the defending Central League and state champions.

Haverford High 9, Marple Newtown 8

Bob McClure had three goals and three assists to pace the Fords.

Tom Higgins had four goals and an assist for Marple Newtown while while Tyler Kostack added three goals.

Ridley 20, Upper Darby 5

Joe Minnick had three goals and two assist to lead a balanced attack for the Green Raiders.
