Andrew Towne scored the game-winner off a Jimmy McAfee assist with 4:44 to play, lifting host Germantown Academy to a 7-6 victory Tuesday over Academy of the New Church in a thrilling non-league boys’ lacrosse game.

Towne’s goal came after ANC (4-1) had rallied from a 6-1 deficit and notched four goals in the final period to tie it, 6-6.Fusion-Lacrosse1-e14261234464991

GA, which has won four straight and is 4-1 and ranked No. 15 by, got two goals and an assist from McAfee and two goals from Garrett Trucksess. Ian Davies (six) and Leroy Moser (eight) combined for 14 saves.

Jesse Frazier had two goals and an assist for the Lions and James Vandegrift scored twice.

Radnor 9, La Salle 7

Alex Andersen posted 17 saves and Jack Norton had three goals and two assists as the Raiders defeated the Explorers.

Zack Drake led La Salle with a goal and three assists while Aidan Kerrigan had two goals and Anthony Giuliani won 13 of 18 face-offs.

Upper Dublin 19, Upper Moreland 5

Junior Michael Sowers had four goals and seven assists to reach 300 points for his career as the Cards rolled. Michael Mullen added six goals and two assists.

CB West 7, Soduerton 2

Will Ross scored three goals and Steve Hogan posted 11 saves for the Bucks.

Remi Reeves had 15 saves for Souderton

St. Augustine (NJ) 12, Penn Charter 4

Joe Eisele had three goals and an assist and Bryce McGrath added two goals and three assists to lead the Hermits to the victory.

Luke Stansfield led Penn Charter with two goals.

Shipley School 14, Monsignor Bonner 6

Peter Moeller scored five goals to lead the Gators.

Episcopal Academy 12, Hill 5

Eric Haab had four goals and an assist and Christian Feliziani won 16 of 21 face-offs while Curtis Zappala had three goals and three assists for the Churchmen.

Downingtown East 9, Holy Ghost Prep 0

Brodie Wilson posted 11 saves to gain the shutout and Mike Risser had two goals and two assists while Brooks Poli scored twice for the Cougars.

Greg Price had 12 saves for Holy Ghost.

Henderson 13, Neshaminy 4

Cody Pascale had three goals and two assists, Noah Richard had three goals and an assist and Luke Pennington scored three goals to lead the Warriors.

Ridley 14, Great Valley 4

Nick Fox paced the Green Raiders with three goals.

Strath Haven 11, Downingtown West 2

Hunter Mazur and Rob Magee combined to go 13 for 17 on face-offs and Jack Borbee had two goals and three assists for the Panthers.

Carson White posted 15 saves for the Whippets.

Central Bucks South 14, Pennridge 5

Chris Tanner had five goals and two assists and Jake Henze added three goals and two assists while Ryan Jacobsen won 12 of 18 face-offs and Robbie Richick made 11 saves for the Titans.
