Junior goalie Michzael Bonaddio made 22 saves and Ty Moschella scored the game-winner as host Garnet Valley defeated Ridley, 6-5, Thursday night in a key Central league boys’ lacrosse game.Fusion-Lacrosse-e142603204767615

The Jaguars (6-1) remained tied for first in the league with Penncrest at 5-1. Ridley fell to 4-2 and 7-3.

Moschella had two goals and put his team ahead, 6-5, with just under six minutes to play. Matt Moore had a goal and an assist.

Bill Rouse led the Green Raiders with two goals and Dawson Faust also was strong in the cage with 15 saves.

Garnet Valley coach Frank Urso said Bonaddio “was the difference. He was just incredible.”

Garnet Valley had taken a 5-4 lead late in the third period on a goal by Denny Nealon, but Cade Stratton tied it with eight minutes to play.

Penncrest 16, Haverford 9

Alex Bonnett fired in four goals, and Drew Hanna had three goals and three assists as the Lions (8-2, 5-1) remained tied with Garnet Valley atop the Central League.

Billy Farrell scored three goals for the Fords.

Strath Haven 10, Conestoga 5

Jack Borbee scored six goals – all in the first quarter – as the Panthers gained the win.

Luke Taicher scored twice for Conestoga.

Radnor 12, Harriton 5

Clayton Proctor collected three goals and four assists and Tom Meyers won 10 of 17 faceoffs to lift the Raiders.

Jack Veasey tallied three goals and one assist to pace the Rams.

Springfield-Delco 14, Upper Darby 2

Mike Gerzabek had four goals to lead the Cougars.

Lower Merion 10, Marple Newtown 8

Evan Wolf had four goals and an assist and Daniel Silbergeld made 11 saves to lead the Aces.

Tom Higgins had four goals and T.J. Reiley added two goals and one assist to lead Marple newtown.

Mike Risser had two goals and an assist and Brody Wilson made 11 saves to lead East.

Archbishop Ryan 16, Monsignor Bonner 0

Austin Slawter collected four goals and seven assists and Shane Taylor had three goals and two assists to lead Ryan.

Henderson 16, Sun Valley 2

Noah Richards had two goals for the Warriors.

Hatboro Horsham 10, Souderton 1

Pierre Armstrong led the Hatters with two goals and an assist and Kurt Dick made eight saves.

Avon Grove 15, Kennett 8

Doug Jones led the Devils with five goals and an assist.
