There won’t be any doubt as to who the No. 1 boys’ lacrosse team in the country is after Monday night’s Showdown for No. 1 at PPL Park.NXT

The Haverford School, sporting a 24-0 record and ranked No. 1 nationally by Epoch Lacrosse, takes on Epoch’s No. 3 team in the country and fellow unbeaten Hun School (18-0) in the Inter-Ac Challenge championship at 7 p.m. at PPL Park. The winner will be able to undoubtedly lay claim to being the country’s top team.

“These two teams are exceptionally talented and extremely well-coached,” Inter-Ac Challenge Director Brett Manney said. “PPL Park is a fitting location to have the country’s top two teams battle it out for the right to be No. 1.

“We’ve seen big-time matchups before, but never a game this late in the season between two unbeatens that basically serves as the national championship game of high school lacrosse. We couldn’t be more excited to watch these two teams play.”

Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children and students and can be purchased at or at the game Monday night. All net proceeds from the Inter-Ac Challenge will be donated to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital’s Comprehensive Concussion Center and the Wounded Warrior Project.

The Fords clinched their spot in the final with a 13-8 win over Inter-Ac Challenge No. 4 Malvern Prep in the semifinals, while the Raiders pulled away from Inter-Ac Challenge No. 3 Episcopal Academy, 9-5. This would be Haverford’s second national championship in five years after the Fords were the No. 1 team in 2011 after posting a 23-0 record. Hun is seeking its first national championship.
