Laura Pansini scored five goals and Alicia O’Neill tallied three as Agnes Irwin defeated host Conestoga, 16-8, today in a non-league contest.
The Owls (3-0) also got five points from Kristin Burnetta (2g, 4a) while sophomore Alicia O’Neil had her first hat trick of the season and classmate Daniela Wright chipped in two goals and two assists. Junior Emily Fryer dominated the midfield and the defense, keyed by juniors Sarah Platt and Kate White, limited the Pioneers to just three first half goals. Sophomore Goalie Hailey Andress stopped nine shots to earn the win.
Agnes Irwin will travel to Florida midweek for spring break to take on defending Florida State Champion Vero Beach and 2014 State Champion Runner Up Ponte Vedra.
Kennett 15, Penncrest 12
Kennett opened with a win as Kelsey Mentzer scored six goals, Carli Heimann added four goals and an assist and Vicki Gallivan contributed three goals and an assist.
North Penn 9, Spring-Ford 8
Emily Schulce led the Maidens to the non-league win with five goals while Sydney Lear added three goals and two assists.
Kat Connelly led the Rams with three goals and an assist while Samantha Walters posted 13 saves.
Owen J. Roberts 20, Perkiomen Valley 10
Anna Dempsey collected six goals and two assists and Kerry Huzzard and Maddie Gebert each had five goals for OJR in the PAC-10 win.
Emma Briton led PV with four goals and an assist.
Hatboro-Horsham 16, Central Bucks East 7
Syd Rausa had six goals and two assists in the Suburban One Liberty win.
Kaitlyn Mikallie paced CBE with three goals.
Phoenixville 15, Pottsgrove 3
Zoe Bullotta scored four goals while TJ Jefferis, Carolyn Groener and Kylie Crovetti added hat tricks to help the Phantoms cruise to the season-opening PAC-10 win.
For the Falcons, who were outscored 8-0 in the second half, Cheyenne Owens collected a pair of goals and Hailey Jacobs recorded 17 saves in her battle with Phoenixville keeper Megan Nemeth (11 saves).
Henderson 14, Ridley 12
Kara Reichert and Hayley DeAgostine each scored three goals for the Warriors in the non-league opening-day win.
Pennridge 17, Springfield-Montco 11
Jess Csaszar (five goals, two draw controls) and freshman Grace Loughery (five goals, one assist, five draw controls) led the Rams.
Central Bucks West 18, Upper Dublin 7
Jacq Fitzgerald (six draw controls) led a balanced West attack with four goals to go along with six ground balls while Bryn Boylan added three goals, two assists and five ground balls for CB West.
For the Flying Cardinals, Julie Cross led the way with four goals and an assist.
Quakertown 19, Noristown 7
The Panthers – who are competing as an independent this season after playing as a club team last year – were led by Taylor Kishbaugh with seven goals. Kayla Donnelly added a hat trick, Brooklyn Law and Sarah Townsend both had two goals and Cayla Metzger had three assists while Kellyn Nevill had two assists.
Quakertown goalie Morgan Craighead was credited with 17 saves. Also coming up big defensively were Kayla Donnelly with four interceptions and Alisa Robinson with a pair of interceptions.
