Daniella Wright scored her lone goal with 27 seconds left in overtime to lift host Agnes Irwin to a 16-15 win over Manheim Township Wednesday.
Hannah Keating scored nine goals for the Owls (9-1), while Emily Fryer had eight draw controls and Hailey Andress posted 11 saves.
Friends’ Central 14, Lawrenceville School 13, 3 OT
Senior captain Kate Forrest (three goals, one assist) scored in the third overtime period to lift the Phoenix.
With 1:50 left in the third three-minute overtime, senior Taylor Allen forced a turnover. The loose ball was picked up by Lisa Bernstein who secured possession in to the attacking zone. Abby Crowley fired a shot wide, but it was picked up by freshman Sophie Berger who passed it to Forrest.
The defensive unit of Taylor Allen, Julie Levitan, Avital Schweitzer and Lorna Macfarlane led the way for the Phoenix with several key defensive stands and forcing 11 turnovers. Junior Lisa Bernstein, responsible for face-guarding Lawrenceville’s top scorer, denied her possession for the entire second half.
Emma Dahle led Friends’ Central with seven goals and two assists and also had the game-tying goal with 26 seconds left in regulation. Abby Crowley added three goals and an assist.
Springfield-Delco 14, Stone Ridge CDS (MD) 6
Emily Santana had five goals and Kaye Bedard posted 12 saves as the Cougars (8-1) won in Maryland.
Downingtown East 8, Henderson 7, OT
Nicole Barretta (four goals, two assists) had the game-winner to lift the Cougars (7-2, 4-1) in the Ches-Mont.
Katie O’Donnell had four goals for the Warriors.
