US Box Lacrosse: The US Box Lacrosse Academy is the training and development arm of the US Box Lacrosse Association. We teach the international standard of box lacrosse. Our clinics provide players, new to the sport or seasoned, the opportunity to play and develop their box lacrosse game from some of the best NLLplayers and coaches within the United States and Canada. The skills and concepts taught in box lacrosse have become essential to every young lacrosse player trying to be as good as he can be. Teaching indoor lacrosse the right way to young players can be invaluable in their overall lacrosse development. Our directors share a unique knowledge and passion for this game that is transferred through to all participants.

Not just for players: USBOXLA also provides free instruction/USBOXLA certification to coaches and referees across the country. As players come together across the USA and in Canada to play each other in USBOXLA sanctioned tournaments, the players know exactly how to play the game, the coaches know how to coach the game, and the referees know what to call. There is no “hybrid”, “true”, “real”, it’s the international standard of box lacrosse played at the youth level.

The Instructor: When people talk about how Box Lacrosse is changing the college game, Matt Brown is arguably the movement’s current flag bearer. Before coaching at the University of Denver, Matt was a standout offensive star for both the Denver Outlaws and DU. He’s one of the MLL’s top all time goal scorers. As a Canadian box player, Matt won an unprecedented 3 Minto Cup Canadian Junior A Championships with the Burnaby Lakers. In addition to his success as a player, he was also the Assistant Head Coach for team Canada, the 2014 World Champions, and continues to be the architect of one of the most lethal and talked about offenses in NCAA Division 1 lacrosse.
